What makes a Winner?
The Distributors Brisbane has a number of core business principles with the most important being “adding value” in everything that we undertake. In 2015, our Sales Team participated in a “Best in Field” awards program where each sales representative was targeted and measured on a number of key service and sales criteria. To win this award is a significant achievement and it is a hard fought battle between peers to achieve the best in sales and customer service results. The program was created to encourage our Sales Team to over achieve on their targets and to reward those who continually strive to improve results for their customers. Support from a select group of suppliers has been sourced and the Sales Team were measured on a weekly basis. The results have been nothing short of outstanding with sales growth results for these suppliers being in excess of double to the growth of the rest of our business. This year’s winners were announced prior to Easter and they were presented with recognition awards and prizes.
Sandra Seeley Winner of the Best in Field Award 2015
Sandra joined The Distributors Brisbane team over two years ago and instantly demonstrated her tenacity, determination and professionalism in both our business and with our valued customers. It is a delight to have such a dedicated and focused member within our sales team. Sandra is always attentive and looking for the next opportunity for incremental sales for both our business and her clients. Her relationship with her customers is outstanding and as part of our Best in Field judging process, Sandra constantly exceeded our expectations in overall sales, debtor control, clearance and focus lines and in developing new sales initiatives. Although the race for first place was fiercely contested amongst the entire sales team throughout 2015, Sandra’s dedication, planning, preparation and hard work from day one of our incentive program, justly rewarded her with our inaugural “Best in Field” winner for 2015.
Mike Hendle Runner Up
Mike is a foundation member of the Distributors Brisbane and has worked with our Managing Director for over twenty five years. Mike is known for his incredible consistency and his customers have benefitted from this reliability and passion for the wholesale and route business.
Mike is an extremely loyal and ethical Territory Manager who always puts his customers first. He has also assisted in creating numerous sales and marketing programs which have been implemented within the company. These programs have assisted the entire sales team increasing sales throughout each of their customer bases. He has initiated promotions such as Take 5, Take 10 and Take 15 and he has been very proactive in executing in store giveaways, such as, receive a free Water Please 600ml with every newspaper purchased. Mike has also done a fantastic job in creating new distribution and establishing brands such as Whittaker’s and Darrell Lea throughout his territory. He is continually working to add value to not only his customers but the entire company. He has a depth of knowledge that only comes with over 30 years’ experience within the confectionery industry< and is a very worthy runner up in 2015.
Jane Thomas: Second Runner Up
Jane is another longstanding Territory Manager at The Distributors Brisbane who is enjoying her tenth year with the company. She has the ability to successfully shift and adapt to the constant changes within the wholesale market and always remains upbeat and positive. Jane has willingly taken on different geographical territories over the years and has successfully formed strong bonds with all customers. Her ability and strength to look for every opportunity to make a sale is outstanding and her constructive contributions and suggestions within our weekly sales meetings has clearly contributed to this result in our “Best in Field” awards for 2015.
